Stockholm is a
lovely city, Our landing co-incided with their first significant snow fall of
the winter it was around the -12 degrees with a bitterly cold north wind, we
went prepared though woollen hats scarves gloves and boots. The hotel was owned
by Benny or Bjorn of Abba and above our bed was a large photo of the group plus
one on a summer picnic. We were treated by the hotel to a platter of fresh
fruits and chocolate dips on our anniversary, I suspect you had something to do
with that, thank you.
Because it was so
cold we ate at the hotel every night which wasn't what we'd planned but the menu
was varied enough not to be a problem. The children were still talking to each
other when we got home , the dog was still alive and the house was still
standing, .... now we know we can do it maybe a few more holidays are on the
way!.
So a thoroughly
relaxing time thank you.

Paris was wonderful. Expensive, cold but wonderful! The
train journey was most enjoyable. Home to hotel by rail, all but 5 miles. Very
easy and relaxing. Eurostar was 30mins late on return which soaked up our 1 hour
gap before returning from Euston. Total journey time was 6 hours each way.
The hotel was very nice, small, warm and comfortable.
Very French and refreshingly individual. Ten minutes walk from the Louvre. three
and half miles, 1.5 hours walk from the Eiffel Tower. Not particularly impressed
with Monmartre but it had to be visited.

Thank you so much for organising my trip to Lesbos and
Athens. Our hotel was super. It was well situated in easy walking distance
from the Plaka, where we wanted to explore and from where you can walk up to the
Acropolis and all the sites around there. It's lobby is stunning, open and
spacious and the attention when we arrived was excellent. We were early,
arriving about 10 am but the room was available and we were able to check in
then. Our room was good, beautiful bathroom, huge bed, an opening window
although we overlooked the back of the hotel. And it was nice and quiet, you
would forget you were in a city. Only thing missing was the kettle for making
tea and coffee. Breakfast was extensive, nothing omitted and as much as you
want.
The best part was the roof terrace restaurant, with a
fabulous view of the floodlit Acropolis at night. It serves gorgeous food, best
beef fillet I ever remember eating and perfectly presented. The restaurant
overlooks the hotel's rooftop infinity pool and in the daytime, the pool also
has the views. It wasn't warm enough for swimming in April, but it was so
inviting just sitting up there in the sunshine on the decking. When we left, we
had some hours before our flight and were pleased that we could leave luggage
there, plus the hotel organised our airport taxi on checking out. A very
helpful service.

Thank you- we had a lovely
weekend. Mimosa festival was good- flights fine. We loved the medieval
perched villages and went to some excellent restaurants. The hotel
was very nice, and the room price you got for us was
obviously good.

are not novices with a computer i do lose the will to live sometimes when
searching for specific items on the internet. i am certain that we couldn't have
put this together without your help, as i have already said you also came in at
£1000+ below the budget of a mainstream travel agent, i wouldn't have thought
this was possible.
we are both truly looking forward to a magnificent holiday. please submit your
invoice at your convenience which will of course receive our immediate
attention.

"I approached Abreakaway when I was having
difficulty finding a suitable weekend away as a surprise for my husband's 50th
birthday. He has travelled extensively through work and I wanted to find a
location that he had never previously travelled to. I had in mind Dublin
but was having problems linking up a low-cost flight from a local airport with a
suitable hotel. Using low-cost airline destinations as a basis, Jan came back
with three options, each with a description of the location and hotel
recommendations. One to Dublin, one to County Clare, and one to Norway. Norway
was out as my husband had previously been there on business.
Taking into consideration all the details of the other two Ireland
packages I opted for County Clare as it gave us the opportunity to
explore rural areas with a car, whilst staying in a small town with restaurants
and bars. Jan helped me with all the bookings, flights and hotel.
Even taking into account car hire for the weekend, which I had not
budgeted for and the airport parking, the total weekend cost still came in lower
than I had found in my own search. Jan emailed me before we left to remind me
about passports, baggage allowance and other incidentals. The weekend went
extremely well, the Hotel was very comfortable, especially as Jan had phoned
ahead and advised them that we were celebrating a special birthday and on
arrival we were upgraded to the Bridal Suite! The countryside and coastline of
the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher were stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our
weekend exploring, sampling local seafood and plenty of Guinness and to top it
all, my well travelled husband had visited somewhere he had never been to
before.

We were delighted with the service we received from Abreakaway and will definitely
be using them again. Our brief was for a European city break over a weekend for
four couples. Having carefully ascertained our requirements in detail, Abreakaway
presented us with four alternative choices, all of which met our criteria
and were in exactly the right location. We agreed ultimately on a boutique hotel
that even had an outdoor swimming pool – a clever suggestion from Abreakaway,
given the climate and the time of year. Flights could have been a problem as
two couples were leaving from different airports, but this was soon sorted out
and co-ordinated to ensure that we all arrive at roughly the same time.
Nothing was too much trouble for Abreakaway - right down to checking
with the hotel that everything was in order. I was so pleased to be able to
ask Jan to take away all the hassle, all I had to do was pay the hotel and airline
direct.
Best of all, even after paying the service fee, Abreakaway saved us
overall £170.60 on the cost of our holiday.
As a satisfied customer of Abreakaway, I warmly recommend this excellent service!
