Your holiday protection

Many UK based tour operators are either formally bonded or operate a system of separate client accounts with external signatories, to provide you with financial security in the unlikely event that they should cease to trade. If you book a holiday without ATOL, AITO or a bonding scheme you will have less protection.  For added protection it is advisable to use a credit card for your booking.

Abreakaway also has links with holidays from overseas companies. As the bonding regulations are different in each country we strongly encourage you to enquire about how your money is protected directly with the company you are booking with, or take out personal travel insurance that covers the failure of the holiday provider. In many instances when booking hotels and accommodation payment is arranged on departure.  Abreakaway planning service can assist you in locating hotels and accommodation where this is available.

Abreakaway does not accept any liability for, or warrant the quality and standard of any of the holidays that you are sold by holiday providers. Specifically, Abreakway is not liable for any injury and/or damage to persons or property occurring during or as a result of any holiday taken as a result of enquiries made through the Abreakaway website, any web links or holiday planning assistance and or information provided.

Insurance

Travel insurance is essential - you should buy this as soon as you book your holiday. Good travel insurance will cover you if for some reason you need to cancel as well as cover you for any sporting activities you want to take part in. Make sure you check the small print for exclusions and be scrupulous about declaring any pre-existing medical conditions. If you're planning to take a number of trips, annual travel insurance is better value than one-off cover.  If you intended to take part in extra activities whilst on holiday make sure your policy will cover the activity.

Visas

Abreakaway holiday planning service can assist providing information on visa applications.  It is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that all documentation in order for the trip as is necessary before travel.
